D-MED Corporation specializes in the performance of complete operational reviews of a facility?s Revenue Cycle Program. These Reviews are performed quickly and economically with minimal disruption to the staff. We provide an exit conference and a full report outlining, as well as, identifying specific inefficiencies, problem areas, staffing issues, structure, inadequate processes, etc. We provide viable recommendations to assist the facility in achieving their desired accounts receivables goals and objectives.

The evaluation is an in-depth analysis of policies, procedures, functions, forms, workloads, workflow, billing practices, and collection practices. The evaluation is performed to determine efficiency and resource utilization, or lack thereof, as the case may be.

The assessment identifies problem areas, and/or, offers assurance to ensure that current Business Office, Admission, and Registration Operations are adhering to the procedures of the facility, and the desired accounts receivable goals.

Additionally, the assessment analyzes other areas affecting the receivables management program, such as; the computer system, medical records, charging procedures, claim rejections, etc. The assessment is the basis for streamlining procedures, reducing duplication of efforts, organizing job functions, establishing productivity standards, implementing controls, monitoring techniques, enhancing utilization of personnel, and establishing a systematic follow-up system. The end result will provide recommendations that will increase cash flow, lower bad-debt expense, and enhance the facility?s image with the community.

If the facility prefers, we can return and assist with the implementation of our recommendations. Implementation projects typically involve establishing procedures, installation of employee productivity standards, re-structuring and re-engineering, process improvement and quality assurance initiatives. In addition we perform staff training, install controls and monitoring mechanisms, and provide training of supervisory personnel in management techniques.
